'National Integrity Strategy' (NIS)

The 'National Integrity Strategy' (NIS) is anticipated to serve as a guide for anti-corruption strategy. The overarching goal of a National Integrity Strategy is to establish a system of government that fosters public trust. The NIS acknowledges that the state's legal institutions need vigilant citizens to hold them responsible. As a result, the approach is intended for a wide audience and takes political, social, and cultural elements into consideration. Not only are government and administrative institutions engaged, but also other facets of society such as family, civil society, and community organizations. The NIS is a tool for enhancing institutional integrity and eradicating corruption. Improved honesty and morality in individuals, policies, and processes are seen as a means of addressing and resolving the institutions' current crisis of integrity. When the NIS is implemented, it will establish that only those with integrity will be appointed as people's representatives, and they will use their collective will to restore integrity to society. The Government of Bangladesh thinks that the problem of institutional integrity should not end at the top. Rather than that, each institution is required to develop procedures for the implementation of institution-specific initiatives at various stages.
